| Pioneer Entertainment presents famed poet, musician and philanthropist Harry Chapin in a live concert performance Rockpalast Live. Performed in Germany in April 1977, Rockpalast Live: Harry Chapin arrives on special edition DVD on August 20, priced at $24.98. Chapin performs all of his biggest hits including Taxi, W*O*L*D* and Cats In The Cradle. In addition, 11 other tracks provide an outstanding testament to his lyrical creativity and pure musical talent. One of the most beloved performers in music history, Chapin was a spokesman of the people and poet laureate to cabdrivers, housewives and many others often so overlooked. His music radiated the thoughts and feelings of those he wrote about and labored to help through his incessant fund raising efforts. Rockpalast Live: Harry Chapin is presented in 5.1 digital surround sound. A portion of the proceeds from the DVD will be donated to the Harry Chapin Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to address the problems of the disadvantaged and promote educational programs that lead to a greater understanding of human suffering. Chapin once said "America stands for two things: aiding and abetting the quest of every human being for human rights, human dignity and human needs, and providing that individuals can make a difference." Because of his efforts and contributions, Chapin was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom.
