'Byrd Parts' (which took three years to compile) comes 'Byrd Parts Vol 2' "More Oddities, Curios, Rarities & Essentials by members of the BYRDS, alone and together - 1962-1986" on the raven label from Australia.

I saw the following on the unofficial Band web site: (dated
May.14.2003) "Four of Neil Young's '70s and '80s albums that have been previously unavailable on CD, are now being released in digitally remastered versions. These re-releases include
'On the Beach' from 1974 and 'Hawks and Doves' from 1980................"
then I checked further and Rolling Stone has all four albums.. (On the
Beach, American Stars n' Bars, Hawks and Doves and and Re.ac.tor).. "to
be issued on CD on June 24th for the first time in the U.S".
Disappointingly, the Billboard
web site reports that the CDs "have been digitally
remastered but do not include any bonus tracks". I'll keep
you posted.
