'Supershow - The Last Great Jam Of The 60's!'
(DVD £15.99) "In a disused linoleum factory to the west of London some of the cream of rock blues and jazz talent were brought together for an historic and amazing session. In the 60’s this is what was known as FUNKY! A howling stomping virtuoso two days of brilliant music, at the same time redolent of the late 60’s, and timeless. Who was there?
Eric Clapton was, and Jack Bruce and Buddy Guy, meeting Eric for the first time in what was to be a long relationship of the two greatest blues guitarists of a generation. Great drummers
Buddy Miles and John Hiseman and the enigmatic superstar
Steven Stills. The extraordinary jazz legend Roland Kirk plays with his Quartet and then jams with the rockers.
The Modern Jazz quartet,"....I

performances filmed during the band's lifespan: London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970,a five-night run at London's Earl's Court in May 1975; and the Knebworth Festival in August 1979, plus material from New York's Madison Square Garden in July 1973 which
was not included in 'The Song Remains The Same' movie. DVD extras include:
rare TV appearances, promotional clips, TV interviews and some other
stuff. Restored, remixed, and remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, DTS, and PCM Two-Channel Stereo,
supervised by Jimmy Page and director Dick Carruthers. The

Composer -guitarist -trumpeter
Rhys Chatham.
"Rhys Chatham's music is too loud and too exciting to be academic. The excitement's partly physical — from high volume and a rock and roll beat — and partly intellectual: Chatham's fusion of rock and new music is so uncompromising, so elegant, so simple, and still so new that it takes my breath away."
— Gregory Sandow, Village Voice "Then it came, the first chord. For a moment you forgot you ever had a name and came from somewhere; this was louder than anything you had ever heard, louder than you had prepared yourself for, and there was no reality other than this. You dangled in a tidal wave of sound."
— Daily Telegraph. From www.rhyschatham.com:
"A comprehensive 3-disc retrospective, An
Angel Moves Too Fast to See includes all of Chatham's major
"minimal" pieces, ranging from the thunderous
"Two Gongs" (1971) and the No-Wave tumult of
"Guitar Trio" (1977) to the brass-based
"Massacre on MacDougal Street" (1982) and the
epic, previously unreleased "An Angel Moves Too Fast to
See" (1989), scored for an orchestra of 100 electric
guitars. The accompanying 140-page book features dozens of
never -before- published photos plus essays by Chatham, Tony
Conrad and Lee Ranaldo and artwork by famed visual artist
Robert Longo. Together they present a portrait of a city and
a milieu where, for a moment, the raw, the sophisticated,
the meditative and the danceable merged". £42.99 www.johnhiatt.com has news and pictures from John

Commander Cody - 'Tales From The Ozone', and 'And His Lost Planet Airmen'
"Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen were a seminal, warped country rock group who made numerous critically acclaimed albums throughout the 1970's. These deranged space cadets bordered on a country grunge style that set them apart from other country rock acts. These two titles are being released on CD for the very first time". Nantucket -
'Nantucket' Nantucket was a hard rock outfit that had a handful of albums in the late 70's and early 80's. They have maintained a hardcore cult fan base that has been screaming for their albums to be issued on CD ever since. This release is their best and self title first album, making its worldwide CD
debut" Randy Meisner - Randy Meisner
(1982) "one of the original members of The Eagles originally released this fine album on Epic records in 1982. It featured the talents of Nicky Hopkins plus Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart and is making its worldwide CD
debut" Crazy Horse - At Crooked Lake
"best known as Neil Young's backing group for the last 30 years, released a handful albums during that period, one being "At Crooked Lake", which was arguably their best. It was originally released on Epic Records in 1972 and the vinyl version has been a long sought after collector's item. Finally, it is being made available on
CD" Southern Pacific - 'Killbilly
Hill'/'County Line' and 'Southern Pacific'/'Zuma' "a country group bordering on the fringes of rock music. They made numerous albums for Warner Brothers Records throughout the 80's and 90's. These 2 on 1 CD's comprise their second album Killbilly Hill & County Line, from 1986 and 1990 respectively and their self titled first album Southern Pacific & Zuma from 1985 and 1988
respectively" Prices soon
