Of great interest, The Byrds - 'Sweetheart of the Rodeo' (Special Edition/2CD Set) Released 1 Sep 2003 and concentrating on Gram Parson's arrival, CD1 will be an expanded edition of the album, CD2 will feature rarities. 17 of the 20 songs on the second disc make their debut on CD. you remember that 'New Album of the Week' feature that we
started that lasted one week? Well its back, in the form of
Montreal's Soft Canyon's
first album 'Broken Spirit, I Will Mend Your
Wings' - (from alien 8 recordings) "this incredible band that has risen from the ashes of Tricky Woo. The band borrows heavily from the Laurel Canyon sound that spawned the likes of producer, arranger and musician Jack Nietzsche as well as absurdist popster Van Dyke Parks, not to mention the great influence it had on Arthur Lee's Love and former Canadian Neil Young.
On Hope's Great Divide, a track that is incredibly catchy and chock full of studio trickery that will have you thinking it must be one of those lost gems from the 70's. The band also blends heavy influences of Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother era, with early Grateful Dead and Allman

- 'N.E.W.S'. Featuring only 4 Tracks, all instrumentals,
titled: 'North', 'South', 'East' and (you guessed it) 'West' all
clocking in at exactly 14 minutes each, the new Prince album
sounds an interesting prospect. It features Rhonda Smith on the Bass, John Blackwell on the
drums, Renato Neto on the Keys, Eric Leeds on the Saxophone and Prince on
Guitar(s). 'N.E.W.S' is Prince's first studio release since
2001's "The Rainbow Children," .Out on July 21st. £12.99The
forthcoming 'Masked and Anonymous'
Soundtrack (click for some soundbites), features 14 Bob Dylan songs, four of which are
performed in the film of the same name by Dylan himself. The album
will be available on standard CD and limited edition digipak with bonus disc.
"Bob Dylan stars as the fallen rock legend Jack Fate, sprung from jail well
past his prime to play a dubious benefit concert." The album will be available as a standard package and in a limited-edition
digi-pak. The limited-edition package contains a hybrid Super Audio CD
(SACD) featuring seven tracks from the newly remastered catalog in standard
audio, super audio and 5.1 surround sound. This special disc is playable

We've got a 22 track compilation of previously unreleased BBC material from both incarnations of the band.
