Elton Dean's Ninesense -
'Live At The BBC' "British
saxophonist Elton Dean has long been the spearhead of
free jazz in England. He began his professional career with Long
John Baldry's Bluesology in 1967, then went on to help
form the Keith Tippett sextet before becoming a key
member of Soft Machine in 1969. In
the mid 70s he formed 'Ninesense', one of the most
influential cutting-edge jazz bands of the period. This
album is comprised of two sessions recorded by BBC Radio 3's
Jazz In Britain programme and contains the first recording
of the band, as well as almost the last. It has a total
running time of 55 minutes and the accompanying 8 page
booklet features a brief note from Elton Dean, plus
extensive liner notes by The Times' jazz critic, Alyn

Gear sessions that Robert recorded in 1972 and 1974. But as we
worked on it, Robert became more and more involved in it, until it

short experimental film, two recent works with old collaborator Hugh
Hopper and finally a 2003 home demo of a new song that did not end
up on Robert's new release "Cuckooland". Additionally,

16 page booklet filled with photos, artwork and stories supplied by

Reissues - On September 29th, both 'Marquee Moon'
(£11.99) and 'Adventure'
(£8.99) are due to get expanded reissues on Rhino
Records. "'Marquee Moon' will contain the first-ever official CD release of the complete 7-minute "Little Johnny Jewel", Television's first single (originally released across two sides of a 7" inch single in 1975), as well as a number of alternate mixes of tracks from the album. 'Adventure' will include the legendary lost title track and the sought-after 7" mix of "Ain't That Nothin'", among other things".

Kefford - 'Ace
the Face' "The
March 2003 issue of Mojo reveals the recent discovery of previously
unreleased session tapes by Ace Kefford. Various sessions, recorded
on 4- and 8-track multitracks during May-July 1968 at Olympic and
Trident studios in London were produced by Tony Visconti. One
session, including a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Save The
Life Of My Child," features Jimmy Page on guitar. Out

- 'N.E.W.S'. Featuring only 4 Tracks, all instrumentals,
titled: 'North', 'South', 'East' and (you guessed it) 'West' all
clocking in at exactly 14 minutes each, the new Prince album
sounds an interesting prospect. It features Rhonda Smith on the Bass, John Blackwell on the
drums, Renato Neto on the Keys, Eric Leeds on the Saxophone and Prince on
Guitar(s). 'N.E.W.S' is Prince's first studio release since
2001's "The Rainbow Children," .Out on July 21st. £12.995
DVD Set - The Beatles -'The Long And Winding
Road' "is the Beatles' story told through the eyes of people who were there, from John Lennon's first band, The Quarry Men, to the final days at Apple with General Manager, Alistair Taylor, to the very personal recollections of the Beatles' first manager Allan Williams. This programme contains never before seen footage of the Beatles at work and at play. Over forty people were interviewed to tell this complete story including relatives, friends, musicians and
