1994 was a quiet year for Neil Young, who didn’t tour to promote his Sleeps With Angels album, choosing to play a few benefits instead. Farm Aid, bringing relief to stricken farmers and their families, had long been a cause close to his heart, and the performance captured here turned out to be his most prominent date of the year. Reunited with his longtime collaborators Crazy Horse, he turned in an incendiary set that was recorded for FM broadcast. It’s presented here together with background notes and images.
