The DVD has 25 video clips from her BBC shows of the late 60s of which 20 are previously unavailable including 2 duets with Cliff Richard & Marvin, Welch & Farrar.
The 5CDs feature all of Cilla's recordings from 1963-1973 the majority were produced by George Martin at Abbey Road for Parlophone.
"During her late teens Cilla could regularly be found escaping to the trendy clubs of the day like The Iron Door and The Cavern. Perfectly placed amongst the up-and-coming stars of the day, she wowed them with her singing and confidently convinced the powers that be to let her share the spotlight on stage. She quickly became a mini-celebrity in her neighbourhood, performing alongside legendary acts that were fundamental in establishing the "Mersey Sound", such as The Beatles & Gerry and the Pacemakers.
It wasn’t long before Cilla came to the attention of Brian Epstein, she was spotted while singing "Bye, Bye Blackbird" in the Blue Angel club. This performance convinced him to sign her, so on the 6th September 1963, she became his only female vocalist. There was an immediate bond between Cilla and Epstein. His faith, combined with Cilla's talent, effortlessly convinced George Martin, the renowned producer that she was worthy of signing to Parlophone Records.
Shortly afterwards, Cilla Black made her debut on the British singles charts with one of the first of many songs given to her by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. "Love of the Loved", This was soon to be followed by her next release, "Anyone Who Had A Heart", a song by Hal David and Burt Bacharach. Her rendition went on to become her first #1. George Martin acquired the perfect follow-up, "You’re My World", this epic "torch" song went on to become Cilla's second #1"
